The pdk failed in my 991 at the track. I was heart broken. The only dealer option is to replace the entire transmission for >$25K. Cantrell diagnosed it as a repairable issue ("distance sensor") and working together with a specialty shop in AZ (Becks) they pulled my transmission, shipped it to Becks, had it fixed and returned it to Bellevue for re-installation. Yes this approach may not be for the faint of heart and it takes longer to execute but after a few spirited test drives it seems that the results are excellent, the new, replaced electronics are supposedly better than the fault-prone originals and this approach saved me well over $10k. Jeff managed the entire process while I was out of town and now I'm a much happier guy.

Excellent experience at Cantrell Motorsport! I would strongly recommend. My 2015 STI (with modified suspension) was making loud "klangs" going over potholes and bumps. I had brought it to another well-known shop which ... did not find anything wrong. Jeff at Cantrell was a little reluctant to take a car they were not used to but accepted. Matt (very friendly and professional!) drove the car as soon as I brought it that early morning and heard the noise. Less than 1/2 day after I brought it, they had fixed it, finding two things they quickly fixed! No more noise, car is perfect.

Cantrell Motorsports recently conducted a PPI on a 1990 C4 for me. I called with no appointment and with little flexibility as the car was listed for sale. They were able to fit me in and conducted a thorough inspection complete with photo, as I was across the county from the car, and a detailed checklist identifying the components inspected and their respective status. Also provided a detailed list of items needing priority attention and an estimate of repair costs to assist in negotiations with the seller. Very glad I chose Cantrell. They were recommended to me by Bellevue Porsche as the local air-cooled specialist shop.

My recent visit included camber castor and toe changes, Sprint Booster install as I could not get the electronic connection behind the throttle apart. Had alignment performed. Quick, friendly and helpful. Spoke with Jeff and Matt and they answered my initial and follow up questions when I picked up the car. The tech doing the alignment wasn't in when I dropped off the car, so I didn't get to speak with them. I'm a nerd and like to understand and collaborate with things like car setup, so in the future I will try to have a chat with who ever is doing the work so I can better understand why they chose the settings they did, and give them a better sense of how I drive and use the car. But that's on me. Matt and Jeff did a good job conveying this info to the tech for me though and so far the car handles amazingly. I look forward to having my car worked on more by Cantrell as I continue to evolve and improve the car with their guidance.

Overall I have mixed feelings about my experience. Everyone I talked to was great but I never received a single call about my car, I had ro reach out each time. And one of my issues was fixed, the other was simply told nothing that can be done. Lastly, when going to pay I was told that all that was needed was tightening existing parts my total was nearly $400 when quoted just under $200 per hour. My car and the app show me exactly when it was moved and how long it was in the shop for and it was not even an hour. After telling the person this, they did reduce back to $200 but I feel almost as if I was being swindled had I not had the app and camera that showed me just exactly how long my car was actually being serviced. So, the most annoying issue I had was fixed, and ended up being around the cost I expected, but with the complete lack of communication along with my bill experience I do not think I would bring back again for other issues. As stated, everyone I spoke to was nice but overall kind of an off putting experience.

The manufacture estimated 10 hours to perform the repair and Cantrell thought outside of the box and got it done in 5 and only charged me for 5. Every time I get my Porsche Cayenne Diesel serviced at Cantrell I am able to ask questions and receive guidance and advice that is pertinent and easy to follow. On my previous service, I was advised that my brakes pads were nearing end of life and that if the service brakes light came on, not to panic, but that I should get new pads within 1000 miles. I was on a 1500 mile road trip, and 500 miles from my destination the light came on. Because I was given advance notice and easy to follow instructions, I knew that I could complete my trip and then get the brake pads changed. Cantrell gives me peace of mind that my vehicle is being serviced and care for with my best interest in mind!
