Early Mustang Fuel Cells
Fuel Safe’s Early Mustang Fuel Cells are designed
to replace the stock fuel tank in your 1965
through 1970 pony car. The added security
of the fuel bladder will help protect you and
your investment from fire caused by a rear end
impact.
Two different bladder constructions are
available, the Procell and Sportsman, which
come in two different sizes, and each come with
two different fill plate options.
The different fill plate options allow you to fill
your fuel cell either by opening the trunk lid
and removing the filler cap with a standard fill
style cell, or by adding an optional remote fill kit
to the remote fill style fuel cell. You can use the
stock gas cap between the taillights to feed your
classic.
The early Mustang Fuel cells come standard with
a -8 AN pickup fitting where the stock fuel fitting
was in the original tank, and all of the cells come
with a fuel level sender provision so you can
add a fuel level sender later with no additional
modifications.
